Dr. Kent is a our Chief Behavioral Health Officer. She is a trauma-informed psychologist with over two decades of experience in counseling, training, supervision, and consulting, specializing in marginalized communities, trauma, abuse, PTSD, and early childhood development. A licensed marriage and family therapist and faculty lecturer at San Diego State University, she has provided clinical supervision, expert witness testimony, and therapy in private practice, focusing on psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral approaches, including EMDR. Her career spans work with LGBTQ+ populations, survivors of abuse, and children in crisis, alongside extensive training and program development for behavioral health professionals.

Dr. Kennedy is a bilingual (English/Spanish) Associate Marriage & Family Therapist dedicated to helping individuals, teens, children, and couples navigate trauma, loss, family dynamics, and life events, guiding them from surviving to thriving. With experience providing EMDR, Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Logotherapy, and Narrative Therapy, Dr. Kennedy supports clients dealing with PTSD, complicated grief, depression, anxiety, relationship conflicts, and the emotional impact of chronic illness.
